student statement
Through this work, I incorporated my photography and my lyricist skillsets. I wanted to capture nature in its raw beauty as Jackson did in Doubt & Imagination. I added earphones to show how intertwined our everyday lives are within nature. The idea behind this response was me coming to terms and to peace with what I cannot control. In Jackson’s Doubt & Imagination we understand the uncertainty that can come from using your imagination when other’s can im- pose their doubts. However, I can overcome. I do not need to allow others doubts to trample my imagination. I can come to an understanding that’s how it will be, but ultimately that will not define me, because I can make my own story a new story free from doubt and full of my imagi- nation. Imagining a life without pessimistic viewpoints and ways to hinder one’s own hope, ones realization of who they are.
