rachel rushing is a multidisciplinary artist interested in installation and social practice. she received an mfa in studio art from the university of north texas in 2014. for the past 7 years, she has worked as the co-director of sunset art studios, a non-profit community art studio. sunset’s goal is to create access to the arts through public programming, fiscal and capital support for artists, and scholarly research and artistic production. when not collaborating, rushing’s work takes the form of photo-based installations and participatory making practices with an emphasis on cultural equity, intersectional ecofeminist theory, and the ethics of artistic production.
