artist led programs initiative

vision

dallas contemporary is collaborating directly with local creatives to present authentic and timely public programs that relate to our core values, respond to current social issues and/or are inspired by dc’s current exhibitions. dc is looking for passionate dallas/fort worth based artists, creatives, curators, writers, researchers, activists, scholars, educators, or anyone else with a big idea and an interest in creating engaging educational programming for our community. dc is most excited by programs that engage new audiences, tackle tough but timely subjects, and address the needs of our diverse community.

through this initiative dc hopes to not only present our community with amazing programs, but to elevate and amplify our local artists’ voices -- furthering the mission of our intuition to empower artists' ideas and voices in an aim to chronicle and transform society.

when you look at programs and educational offerings across dfw, what do you feel is missing? what topics or ideas relating to art, creativity, or the current cultural moment do you feel are not included, or underrepresented? how would you engage our community about these issues?

programs are selected on a rolling basis.
