TAKE THIS BOOK AND WRECK IT

you’ve fallen in love with books before; now it’s time to devour one.

join us for local artist lisa huffaker’s workshop, TAKE THIS BOOK AND WRECK IT: book demolition, from erasure to contraband, as we send librarians’ eyebrows through the roof, transforming books through radical acts of art. we’ll alter individual pages through poetic erasure, collage, drawing, and folded inclusions, and carve deep into the text block to imbed talismanic objects into the body of the book. prepare to revel in the smell of vintage volumes, feast on carefully chosen paper ephemera, and reimagine the very meaning of this wondrous object we call a book.

designed for ages 18+, this workshop is free to attend! capacity is limited — registration required, donations encouraged.
