THE Summer Institute for Young Artists

9 – 13 JULY 2018

Looking for an alternative to traditional summer camps? Enroll your middle or high-schooler in the DC Summer Institute for Young Artists and give them the opportunity to work with local artists and Dallas Contemporary staff. Participants will join our DC team, experiment with exciting art-making techniques, and discuss art both in our galleries and around the neighborhood.

 

Supply fee: $175 per camper, $150 per camper for multiple registrations from one household. Ask us about scholarship opportunities!

¿Busca una alternativa al tradicional campamento de verano? Inscriba a sus artistas de escuela media o secundaria en el Instituto del Verano para Jóvenes Artistas y déles la oportunidad de interactuar directamente con artistas profesionales y el personal de educadores del Dallas Contemporary. Los participantes se unirán a nuestro equipo del Dallas Contemporary por una semana, experimentarán con técnicas de realización artística y discutirán sobre arte contemporáneo y callejero tanto en nuestras galerías como en el barrio circundante.

LIFE DRAWING in the GALLERIES

ONE SATURDAY PER MONTH from 12.00 – 3.00 PM

Artist Joel Murray will lead live figure-drawing sessions in of one of Dallas Contemporary’s current exhibitions. Life Drawing in the Galleries at Dallas Contemporary gives artists of all kinds and skill levels the opportunity to practice figure drawing from professional live models. Male and female models will provide a variety of clothed poses.

 

Basic materials are provided, but feel free to bring your favorite sketching tools!

$5 dollar suggested donation. No pre-registration required.
